Flamini Becomes Arsenal’s Second Signing Of The Summer
Arsene Wenger has made his second signing of this summer’s transfer window by brining Mathieu Flamini to the club on a free transfer, reports suggest.
The Daily Mail reported that Flamini has signed a three-year deal at the Emirates worth £40,000-a-week.
However, despite bringing in his second player this summer, Wenger has still not spent any money having brought both Flamini and Sanogo to the club on free transfers.
Flamini will start his second spell at Arsenal after he left for AC Milan after four seasons at the club.
The article reveals that the 29-year-old has been training with Arsenal during pre-season because he was released by AC Milan after the end of last season
The same article reports that Flamini is the fourth player to resign at Arsenal during Wenger’s spell at the club. The other players include, Sol Campbell, Jens Lehmann and Thierry Henry.
Wenger had previously commented on the possibility of Flamini signing for Arsenal, which was reported in the article, “He is just here to work on his fitness and he does that very well. I don’t say there’s no chance and I don’t say there is a chance.”
